We had storm blow though town a few weeks ago, so what do I do??? I head up the mountain into the clouds, of course! My wife and I live about 30 minutes from the mountain town of Idyllwild, California, so I head up there to try and catch the tail end of the storm. My wife and I love to visit Idyllwild and will try to get up there any chance we get. I'm pretty familiar with the area so I've got a particular spot I want to shoot this storm from. When I get to this spot, it's cold and windy, with lots of cloud movement. The rain has stopped and it's still damp outside. Perfect conditions for a nice moody landscape photograph. I've always liked this viewpoint of this particular hill but never had ideal conditions for a good image. That is until now!! I love how the trail leads you right into the trees! I came away with two different shots of the same hill. One is with the trees in the clouds and the other with the clouds behind the hill. I can't decide which one I like better, so I included both of them into my gallery. Which one do you like?

I've also been experimenting with time lapse video lately and spliced together 3 different clips from this area. I'm really enjoying doing these! Hope you enjoy them too!!!
